For instance, we may collect various forms of “click stream” information such as entry and exit points for our Site (i.e., referring URLs or domains), site traffic statistics, page views, impressions, and operating system and browser type. In addition, when users request pages on our Site, our servers automatically log their IP addresses. An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer whenever you are surfing the Web.
We may collect, compile, store, publish, promote, report, sell, or otherwise disclose or use any and all Aggregate Information.
If we do correlate any Aggregate Information to you, such information will be treated like any other personal information under this policy.
We may make use of “cookies” on our Site. Cookies are small text files that are stored on a user’s computer by a Web server based on the permissions set in a user’s browser software. A cookie itself is not designed or intended to read any information from a user’s computer (other than the contents of the cookie); rather, it is an identifier used by the Web site that originally placed it on your hard drive. The actual contents of the cookie information can be retrieved by the same server to identify the computer and subsequently to customize, monitor, or regulate the use of a site based on information stored in the cookie and the host server. Therefore, cookies only identify the user’s computer to the Web site that may correlate other information, including personal information, with the cookie.
Cookies allow us to automate access and data entry functions of our Site such as login information, correlate online ordering information for purchases you may make while at the Site (if any), tailor the Site to your preferences or interests, or customize promotions or marketing. In addition, cookies allow us to track usage of the Site to determine which areas are useful or popular and which are not, thereby enabling us to improve and update the Site effectively.
Some portions of our site may use web beacons in conjunction with cookies to understand user behavior. A web beacon is an electronic image, called a single-pixel (1×1) or clear GIF. Web beacons can recognize certain types of information on a visitor’s computer, such as a visitor’s cookie number, time and date of a page view and a description of the page where the web beacon is placed. Some Web beacons may be unusable if you elect to reject their associated cookies.
Google Analytics, Ads Conversion Tracking and Remarketing, Signals
Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service by Google. In addition, our website uses Google Ads conversion tracking and Ads remarketing, Demographics and interests reporting and Google Signals, which are also services by Google.
Google Signals compiles for us multi-platform data reports on Google users that have enabled personalized advertising in their Google accounts.
On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing the website operator with other services relating to website and Internet use.
The Google Ads conversion tracking cookies ordinarily remain enabled on your computer for around 30 days. If you visit our website during this period, both Google and we will be informed that you saw the displayed advertisement.
In case that you use a Google account, Google can, depending on the settings stored in your Google account, associate your Internet and browser cache with your Google account and use information from your Google account to personalize advertisements. You must sign out of your Google account before visiting our website if you do not want this association with your Google account.
If you have enabled personalized advertising in your Google account, Google will be able to prepare data models and reports on website habits, which show for instance on which device you first clicked on an advertisement and on which device any eventual purchase took place. These data models and reports are based on random samples and are pseudonymised to ensure anonymity, which means that we are unable to draw any conclusions as to the identities of the individual Google users.
In addition, our website uses remarketing tabs for marketing purposes (also the “Facebook Pixel”) by Facebook Inc., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, California 94025, USA (“Facebook”). This tag establishes a connection between your browser and a Facebook server when you visit our website. Facebook therefore receives information that you have accessed our website with your IP address.
If you are a member of Facebook and have made the appropriate privacy settings on your Facebook account, Facebook will also be able to associate the information stored with us about your visit with your personal account, which it can use for the targeted display of Facebook Ads.
You can access and change the Privacy Settings for your Facebook profile at any time.
Crown uses reasonable efforts to store and maintain personal information to protect it from loss, misuse, alternation or destruction by any unauthorized party. No financial information or social security information is stored on or otherwise accessible through our Site. When we do transmit your data, we use only Secure Servers using current encryption technology to encode your data safely. The personal data stored on our system is protected by a firewall designed to keep unauthorized users from accessing our network.
While on the Crown Site, you may be referred to web sites other than our Site (“Outside Sites”). A link from our Site to an Outside Site does not imply endorsement of that site nor any ability to control that site’s privacy practices. Be aware that Outside Sites may collect data and personal information and operate according to their own privacy practices. Therefore, you should carefully review the privacy policies of Outside Sites before submitting any Personal Information on them.
To respect the privacy of children and to comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, the Services are not available for children under the age of 13. Our Site is a general audience site that is not designed nor intended to collect personal information from children under the age of 13.
